News on my Birthday

First of all, thank you so much to all who wished me a great day! It made it special indeed.

I have a great girlfriend in Tulsa, OK. From the first day when I learned of my friend Louis' awful death, she's been there for me. I emailed her daily, sometimes three times in the same day, and she would respond to all these mails and give me wonderful feedback, for months...  She litterally saved me from the pit...

In the last month or so, hell broke loose for my computer. I caught something quite malevolent, had to wipe down the hard disk and resintall everything again. Two weeks after, same damn thing happened, had to re-format once again. Thankfully, the hardware was not damaged.

In the meantime, I used either Bernard's old PC and our shared laptop. His comp is supported by Windows XP and the poor beast was attacked mercilessly everytime I dared take it on the Net.  Even the poor laptop was attacked this morning.

I realize that things have changed in the Net - it's more dangerous now and I have to more careful than in the past about what I download. Some places which were safe before are not anymore. Gods, I downloaded Photofiltre and got a trojan!

And eBay has been hacked twice in the last month. I changed all my passwords to long complicated ones.

Needless to say, this has lead to a lot of headaches and no occasion to make new fractals.

I feel there has been a jinx on me in the last year - maybe the change of number in my age will bring luck!
